Bill, I am awed by your ability to pack an enormous amount of wonderful and hopeful news into a single issue of the crucial years, at a time when we all need more hope.

I have been a paid subscriber for a while, and I urge everyone who reads this to join me.

You are a leader and even though we have never met I consider you a friend.

I too love you.

> People are struggling to pay their bills but billionaires are getting the tax breaks!

This is an excellent strategy. We really need make people aware of how billionaires are getting special treatment and how they even made their wealth in the first place. It's great to have an enemy that is very concrete indeed.

Not very long ago Elon Musk sang our tune about fighting climate change https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1753837756793466975

And only recently was he favorable towards Trump because of how Trump took the assassination attempt, according to last night's PBS nightly news. I think someone like you Bill could turn him back on the right path - yes you! If he realized how revered he would be if he really put his mind to solving the climate problem he might decide to do it. There is more than one way to solve this problem, you have come up with novel ones and you could go to the root - you might bring David Attenborough into it? or Ayana Elizabeth Johnson. REALLY, please think about this. Barbara Sullivan-Watts, Senior Marine Research Scientist, Graduate School of Oceanography University of Rhode Island

Great writing Bill. People like you are what makes America great, not Trump.

Thank you, Mr. Mckibben, great interviews with awesome women.

As a child of the sixties, I can testify that there will be no successful revolution without great music.

Thank you, Bill, for these two inspiring profiles! Music and sports get to people’s emotions and passion which we need to tap into for this fight. Are you aware of and supporting the Economic Blackout planned for Friday Feb 28th? There’s energy around it in my household. Would love your thoughts on it and public support of it if you think it’s worth doing

It's incredible to see how Antonique Smith is blending music and activism to fight for climate justice. Her journey, from singing for the Hip Hop Caucus to founding Climate Revival, exemplifies the power of art in sparking change. Her new stripped-down version of Love Song to the Earth captures the urgency and hope needed in these challenging times. Antonique’s mission to bring the climate message into Black churches through music is nothing short of revolutionary. She’s not only amplifying awareness but also addressing how environmental issues disproportionately affect communities of color. Her work is a true example of how we can use our platforms and voices for good!

No intention of un-making your day, Bill … rather, I am incredulous to learn that The King has trumped the Governor and rubbished the NYC congestion surcharge … meddling locally 🙁 … but I suspect you already know this … ♥️

Trump is a bit premature in claiming kingly powers on this one. "The MTA immediately filed a lawsuit after receiving Duffy's letter, and Hochul vowed the “cameras are staying on” to collect the tolls. An expert told 1010 WINS this week that drivers will have to pay the tolls for the foreseeable future as the legal battle plays out." https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/trump-s-transportation-secretary-is-100-open-to-some-form-of-nyc-congestion-pricing-after-pulling-approval/ar-AA1zwvUe
