Here in Maine a few of us have been crunching numbers today to figure out how to get our state to the 50% reduction in the construction industry by 2030 (existing housing stock as well as new housing). Here in Maine a few of us have been crunching numbers today to figure out how to get our state to the 50% reduction in the construction industry by 2030 (existing housing stock as well as new housing). It seems we can’t “renewable only” our way out of the housing challenges going forward— conservation needs to play a role. Smaller spaces. Hanging onto the heat (or cool) we do create. Like the example of a better wire that doesn’t sag. That’s not rocket science! We can do this…learn to live like a normal animal.
